Before I begin, it’s been a few weeks since I made my intention list and it’s time to reflect and modify if needed.
My gratitude’s have grown from my original list, I’m going to add:
- I’m grateful for being back home.
- I’m grateful for having new people in my family circle.
- I’m grateful that winter has not yet found itself in Minnesota for my first year back. 50’s with rain at the end of November is a huge blessing!
- I intend to grow Zensational by networking with other business people in my community.
- I intend to re-read the” Game of Life and How to Play It” by Florence Scovell Shinn.
- I intend to touch a hidden spring of abundance to generate income by utilizing my many skills which releases large sums of money to return to me, under grace, in miraculous ways.
Having a grounded person in your life is a huge bonus. Their energy can help you stay connected to earth, but you can’t rely on them to keep you grounded. It’s your job to take care of yourself. Here are a few techniques to help you stay grounded and centered.
Work with your chakras from the heart down, those are your connection to earth. If you are too far up in the clouds, look to the rainbow to find your ground. The chakra colors are red, orange, yellow, green blue, indigo and violet. The lower chakras are associated with the colors red, orange and yellow. You can wear them, eat them, smell them, mediate on them and carry them using clothing, foods, essential oils, images, and crystals.
Certain crystals are particularly good with grounding. Choose stones that have earthy qualities. Dark stones, black, grey, brown, dark red, red, and orange are all good for grounding. Most often these stones and crystals can be bought at an affordable price and do not have to be gem quality. Bring in some dark stones from outside and sit with them for a while. You will feel their vibration and begin to lower your energy back down from the higher chakras and feel balanced.

5-minute Exercise to become grounded and centered:
Sit in a comfortable chair with your back upright, your legs together and feet touching the ground. Cup your hands and place in your lap (for an extra bonus, add grounding crystals in your hands and under your feet.) Take in a deep breath for the count of 7, hold for 7, release for the count of 7. Do this several times, begin to breath normally becoming mindful of your breath. Repeat aloud or to yourself. “I am grounded and centered to all things.” Open your eyes and move on feeling centered and balanced.
I use essential oils for grounding. The main oils that I work with are Patchouli, Bergamot, Neroli, Ylang ylang, Petigrain, wood oils, and earthy musky combinations. I have made a spritz that incorporates crystals, essential oils and Reiki for balancing and grounding. This is my “Easy Button” for grounding. A few spritzes of "Balance" before I leave in the morning and I am better equipped to maintain focus throughout my day.
Eating nutritious foods in the colors of the lower chakras and earth colors will help maintain grounded energy. Carbohydrates and proteins in particular have the ability to ground one’s energy.
Each of us are individuals and finding what works takes a few times to find the correct combination. It’s important to become a master of your own energy field. When you have a healthy aura, your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies will be healthy too.
