Reiki promotes physical health, mental clarity and spiritual advancement and can be incorporated into any lifestyle. You don't have to go anywhere to practice it, and is available everywhere you are. It is very flexible and there are many ways to incorporate it into your lifestyle. There are no rules telling you that you "must" do this or that. Instead, you are in charge and can be applied to a number of facets of your life. You can give Reiki to your family members, pets, food, plants, house, office space and even your appliances!
I Reiki my office space, treatment/reading room and home on a regular basis. It helps move stagnant energy and promotes a calm and peaceful environment. I often have guests state that my house is very "homey". Giving Reiki to your food can be used to improve the quality of all your food, even dessert. Food contains life energy, and is one of the most important ways we have of taking energy into our bodies. When we eat food of higher quality, the energy that we can take from it is also much better. Reiki can be used to remove toxins from our food and add energy to which will benefit our bodies. You can give Reiki to you food while cooking or my holding your hands over or at the sides of your plate. Any beverage can be treated with Reiki as well. Treat food when you bring it home from the store and it will retain the energy and you will not have to think about it again.
Stress is increasingly becoming the root cause of many illnesses. More and more people are being diagnosed with stress-related illnesses. We are constantly under pressure at home and work to juggle several tasks simultaneously in order to maximize our use of time. It is often hard to diagnose ourselves with stress related symptoms. It's easy to deny that we are suffering from stress and that "it" will pass.
Medicine may relieve stress symptoms temporarily, but unless the underlying cause is dealt with, which is in all probability an emotional issue, the condition reappears. Our coping mechanisms for dealing with stress tend to include drinking, overeating, and slumping in front of the television. Reiki treatments are an excellent stress-reduction method.
