Decisions, we all have and we have many to make on a daily basis. Some decisions are vital to our life’s purpose while others are inconsequential. Regardless of the magnitude of the outcome at hand, you can make your decisions with optimism or with pessimism.
Our words and thoughts have power to shape our lives. Take a moment to really think about that. If what you think and say is optimistic, how can the worst possibly take shape? This is not to say that you will never experience unfortunate circumstances. When life does give you challenges and you are optimistic and expect the best to ultimately take shape, you’ll give yourself the power to move forward in a positive light. You will not be sitting on the pity potty wringing your hands fearing negative outcomes and stressing yourself out on what might happen.
We can spend countless hours worrying about the negative or the unfavorable to happen. Conversely how many hours can you worry about the positive and best to happen? Zero, I don’t worry when I expect the best in all things to come into my life. So all of those countless hours worrying about “worst case scenarios” are gone and you will never get them back. For me, I have a full and abundant life that takes up many of the 24 hours in my day. I need each and every minute to be productive and moving me forward towards my goals. When I get challenged, it’s easy to go into pessimistic mode. But then I get stuck, my creativity dwindles down to nothing and my energy goes to an all time low and I am no fun. Being pessimistic does nothing for my greatest good. (I want to add a disclaimer here; I am not a trained professional. So what can you do if you’re in a pessimistic state of mind? First thing, STOP IT! Put on your big girl/boy panties and consciously start making positive decision. Get yourself moving with light energy by getting happy. You can’t be pessimistic if you have joy. I like to sing, meditate, play music, beat on my drum, craft, go for a walk or anything else that suites my fancy to get my juices flowing. Next re-evaluate the situation and be optimistic and expect the best.
Think the Best Meditation
Prepare for your meditation by writing down everything you are worrying about.1. When you are ready to mediate, sit in a comfortable area, read over the things that you have listed.2. Generate a sincere sense of appreciation for everything that is good in your life. If you are grateful for your health, feel thankful for your good fortune. Continue to think of the best possible outcome of any situation that you are worrying about. As you reflect each of the items you have on the list, discard the worry and think of why you are fortunate and grateful. 3. After you have gone through your list, sit quietly and thank yourself, God, the universe, or whomever or whatever you choose, for the gifts you have been given. Resolve, on a daily basis, to be mindful and grateful for the blessings you have and will continue to manifest into your life as you consciously change your thought patterns to be optimistic.
